Almora

Almora is a picturesque hill station located in Uttarakhand. It is considered as the cultural heart of Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. Situated at an altitude of 1650 m, the main attraction of Almora is its unmatched natural beauty. The rivers Koshi and Suyal are flowing alongside the town. The beautiful backdrop of snow capped Himalayan peaks and lush greenery make Almora an attractive destination for tourists. The town hosts a number of temples namely Kasar Devi Temple, Chitai Devi, Katarmal Sun Temple, Nanda Devi Temple and Raghunath Temple. Other attractions include Tagore's House, Bright End Corner Viewpoint, Vivekananda Hill Agricultural Laboratory and Defence Agricultural Research Laboratory.

How to Reach

The nearest railway station is Kathgodam which enjoys excellent connectivity with other parts of the country. Hired cars are available from Kathgodam to reach Almora.
