Dharamshala

Dharamshala is a popular hill station in Kangra Valley in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The town is divided into two parts - Lower Dharamshala and Upper Dharamshala (McLeod Ganj). McLeod Ganj is home to the Tibetan refugees and Buddhist leader Dalai Lama. The attractions of McLeod Ganj include Bhagsu Falls, Bhagsunath Temple, Dalai Lama Buddhist Temple, Tibetan Museum and Dal Lake. Kangra Museum is the main attraction of Lower Dharamshala. You can also hire a car and visit Bajreshwari Temple (20 km) and Jwalamukhi Temple (53 km).

The nearest railway station from Dharamshala is Chakki Bank. Cars are available to reach Dharamshala, 80 km from Chakki Bank. Dharamshala is also easily accessible from Amritsar.
