Jageshwar

Jageshwar is an offbeat hill spot in the state of Uttarakhand. Actually Jageshwar is not a hill station. It is a hamlet situated on the banks of Jataganga river. The place is surrounded by forests of Devdaru trees. The prime attraction of this village is the Jageshwar Temple. Other temples include Dandeshwar Temple, Mrityunjay Temple, Navadurga Temple, Kuber Temple, Sun Temple etc. You can also visit Chaukori from Jageshwar. On the way don't forget to see Patal Bhubaneswar.

How to Reach

The nearest rail station from Jageshwar is Kathgodam. Regular train services are available from other parts of the country to Kathgodam. Hired cars are plying from Lalkuan Junction and Kathgodam to Jageshwar via Nainital and Almora.
