Matheran

Matheran is a beautiful hill spot in the Sahyadri hill range. The journey from Neral to Matheran by toy train is an awe inspiring experience. Matheran is 21 km from Neral. It takes the train around 2 hours to travel this distance. Since no petrol or diesel vehicles can enter Matheran, therefore the toy train remains the only transport which can enter the town directly. There are 38 view points at Matheran. At an altitude of 803 metres, the scenic charm of nature at Matheran is mesmerizing. The whole town is surrounded by lush green trees.
