Nandi Hills

Nandi Hills is a picturesque hill station 62 km from Bengaluru. The undulating green hills, chirping of colourful birds and rows of trees make Nandi Hills an exciting tourist place. The main attraction of Nandi Hills is Tipu's Drop. During Tipu Sultan's reign, those who were awarded capital punishment were thrown down from this spot. Nandi Hills was the summer resort of Tipu Sultan. There are a number of viewpoints in and around the hill station. The view of the surroundings especially the sunset from the viewpoints is awe inspiring.

Nandi Hills is easily accessible from Bengaluru and Yeshwantpur. Bengaluru and Yeshwantpur are both well connected with the rest of the country by rail, road and air transport.

Jawhar is a little known hill station in the state of Maharashtra. It is also called Mahabaleswar of Thane district. The scenery of the way from Nasik to Jawhar is amazing. The nearest railway station from Jawhar is Igatpuri (61 km). But it is better to reach the destination from Nasik. Jawhar is 90 km from Nasik. Regular bus services are available in this route. Hired cars are also available.
